How many people have had positive experiences with the IRS? Go ahead, raise your hands. Okay, there, I see you, you in the back. Anyway, the answer is probably not many of us. The Internal Revenue Service, responsible for collecting taxes and what not, will be responsible for making sure you havehealth care, or taxing you extra for not having it under both the senate and house plans, according to Legal Insurrection website. [...] According to this article in Politico, the White House has disabled their flag@whitehouse.gov email address. If the effort was truly to gather questions about the health care reform bill and not collecting names, then there are better ways to go about it so people can post anonymously and the questions can be answered in a FAQ form. That way, the White House doesn’t have to worry about the record keeping aspect, and citizens don’t have to worry that they are on some kind of list. [...] In America, at least for now, we have the protection of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States which protects our freedom to speak our mind, to peacefully assemble, and to write our opinions without fear of retribution from the government. This freedom allows us to criticize our government and our president. However, should the criticism ever include threats? [...] With Obamacare being rushed through Congress and forced down the throat of American people, is it any wonder why these town hall meetings are turning into health care revolts? Another hidden agenda I discovered in the health care bill is that the government wants to come into our homes and limit parental rights over child care and development. Ah, yes, more evidence of Obama’s socialism. Because the government does everything else so well, do you want them telling parents how to raise their children and what to teach their children? [...] Earlier this week, the White House posted on their blog a request for anyone to report “fishy” information about the health care bill to a White House email address. A blatant ploy, in my opinion, to have citizens report other citizens to the government based upon their opinions. This would be a definite violation of our first amendment rights. [...] I didn’t want to post on Obamacare today. But, this is too shocking to pass up. Apparently, the democrats are even more fevered to shove Obamacare down our throats before anyone actually realizes the rights it pulls away from us, and they are significant. After reading an article in the Libertarian Republican blog, it seems the democrats have resorted to out-and-out lying – nay fraud, to push their agenda. [...] In the late 40′s, George Orwell wrote a book about a totalitarian society in which Big Brother watched and controlled everything titled “1984″. This was his vision of the future. 1984 came and went and no Big Brother. We still had the first amendment on our side. Until now. [...] If you read my previous post Obamacare is socialism at its worst, you will be interested in viewing this document in which the author does a great job of expounding on a comment to his blog. It goes more in-depth with Obamacare and its socialistic properties that remove rights from Americans and moves us toward a so-called utopian society where the government controls everything right down to your happiness. [...] Betsy McCaughey, former Lt. Governor of New York and apparently one of the few people to actually read all of Obama’s heath care bill, speaks out on some shocking aspects including allegedly requiring counselling for everyone on Social Security every five years to learn how to end their lives to save money on health care. [...] President Obama wants the government to take over health care because they do everything else so well. [...] You’ve faithfully paid your premiums for years and now you have something serious that’s going to require them to spend some money, if they find out you had the slightest illness during the pre-existing period, they can use that to cancel your policy. [...] Our health care system is broken. Something does need to be done to fix it and I don’t have the answer either, but there are a lot of people smarter than me who should be able to figure this out. [...] |
