My wife and I spend most the summer at Sequoyah Bay on Lake Fort Gibson in NE Oklahoma volunteering as camp hosts. There are many opportunities for a good photographer to take some great photos. Even very amateur photographers such as myself can get some pretty awesome photos. I’m posting a few photos I’ve taken this summer for your enjoyment. [...] When Sassy, the youngest of our 2 Great Danes, was just a little pup, we bought her a stuffed squirrel from Petco that had 2 squeakers in it – 1 in the tail and 1 in the body. She loved it! [...] I attended the funeral of a friend yesterday. He wasn’t my best friend, or a close friend – I didn’t even know his wife or children- but he was a real friend. He was young, so his death was a shock. I’ll call him Tim (not even close to his real name). [...] Well, in the primary election yesterday, Oklahoma voters chose two women to run against each other, Jeri Askins (D) and Mary Fallin (R) will compete for the top state job in November. So, now the question is, which one will be the best for the top spot? [...] In today’s rocky economic climate, most households are cutting back wherever they can. And with cable and satellite television costing anywhere from $65- $150 a month (more if you count premium movie channels) many people are making their television sets the first part of their homes to get the axe. But what if there was a way to enjoy thousands of television channels, including hard to find international shows and sports programming, and never pay another monthly cable bill again? Well, it seems that he has been the victim of identity theft at least 13 times and has agreed to pay 12 million (yes, 12 with 6 zeros after it) to the FTC to settle charges that the company overstated benefits and used scare tactics to gain subscribers. [...] The new Arizona state immigration law has been likened to a standoff by local writer David Gerard in his recent column on MuskogeeNow.com. I read this column with great interest because what is happening in Arizona is very important to the rest of us. The decisions made by a federal judge will have a lasting message as to the importance of state rights versus federal responsibility. [...] Quesadilla casserole has become my new favorite recipe. I’ve made this twice now and I love it. It’s easy to make and tastes delicious AND it’s easy on a budget. The recipe is from McCormick. [...] After watching Dads Life from Church on the Move, I found this video for Mother’s Day, also done by the fine folks at Church on the Move. This is also hilarious!
