According to Gizmodo, not only does the Air Force use Windows Vista, which allegedly crashes constantly due to a faulty ATI driver, but the tech support is in another country? “Hello, this is Omar. What can I do to you today?” You’ve GOT to be kidding. Anyone who’s used Windows has experienced the blue-screen-of-death (bsod), some more constantly than others. But, our military should not have to put up with it and they certainly shouldn’t need to call another country for help. We ARE the US of A, the greatest country in the world and we have the technical expertise to help our own.
Honestly, I don’t know what surprises me more about this story. The fact that he is having such problems, that the USAF uses Excel for any task, or that their technical problems haves to go through a help desk in another country.
