Ah, gotta love those Macintosh commercials – “Hi, I’m a Mac”. The latest one spoofs the fact that Microsoft’s “upgrades” typically are unstable until they have a service pack or two behind them. In fact, I have a strict policy to not use the first version of Microsoft anything.
But, Windows 7 is supposed to cure all the ills of Vista and completely revolutionize personal computing – if you can load it, that is. According to this article in ComputerWorld, users are having problems upgrading(?) to Windows 7. It seems their computers enter a sort of “reboot hell”, from which they are unable to recover without popping their XP or Vista reload CD in.
Of course, one might expect that fixing this would be on the top of Microsoft’s to-do list, but according to the article, it isn’t.
According to Microsoft’s head of support, however, the endless reboot problem isn’t on the company’s top list of concerns.
Well, I guess that’s why I like Mac.
