Does government health care ‘solution’ include encouraging suicide?

I heard this interview on Fred Thompson’s (www.fredthompsonshow.com) website concerning Obama’s health care bill. Please listen to the interview in its entirety.

Apparently, on page 425 of health care house bill, everyone who is on social security will be required to undergo counseling in order to learn how to end their own lives passively. The interview is between Fred Thompson and former New York Lt. Governor, Betsy McCaughey who apparently is one of the very few people in this nation who has actually read Obama’s health care bill.

McCaughey talks about how she was shocked at the contents of this bill that even very few legislators have read. One of the most shocking aspects of this bill seems to be that the government is wanting to teach people with horrible diseases such as AIDS, cancer, Alzheimers, etc. or even just old age, to end their lives early apparently in order to save on health care. Surely not in America, but maybe in Obamerica.

Obama is trying very hard to push this health care bill down Americans throats before anyone can actually take the time to analyze it. This is bad business for America. Countries that have socialized health care are failing at it in a horrendous way. Many of Canada’s citizens come to the US for health care because their own system fails miserably. England’s health care system is no better.

Our system isn’t perfect and everyone knows that we do need some reforms in our system. But, we don’t need government running health care because they will run it like they do everything else… poorly. Also, reform certainly should not include suicide of the sick and elderly as a solution.

I, personally, have not read this bill, so I can put no input into this at all, but if what she is saying is true, we need to be very, very careful.
